What does BUY THE FIGHT mean?

One-off payment.

Download the fight and save it to your disc/hard drive for keeps!

Downloaded fights are in best quality, which means they are large files. Typically, a five round fight will be 700+ Mb and a whole show may take up one or two DVDs.

For ease of download, we have split the files into smaller chunks using the program HJSplit; a popular freeware file-splitting program created by Freebyte.com. You will need to run this program to put the files back together again. You can download HJSplit from FightVid, or from its own website: www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/#win32

INSTUCTIONS: First Time Users To watch a fight (and register), enter through the 'Free Sample' button of the fight you are interested in and then click the blue 'click here to watch the fight for.' Then simply follow the PayPal instructions. When you have paid, return to FightVid and the system will allow you to access your fight.
Username and Password Your username is your email address.
When you first register, FightVid will send you an email with your password.
If you don't get this email, please check your spam folder. If you still cant find it, simply click the 'forgot your password?' link on the Downloads page.
You MUST supply a valid email address for FightVid to send the password to. Instructions to WATCH your fight 1. Login to FightVid with your email and password.
2. On the home page Click on the 'free sample' button for the fight you have bought. (if you subscribed as a £5/month member, you have access to all the fights!)
3. In the new popup window Click 'here' to watch the fight.
4. In the new popup window Click 'here' to watch the fight (again!).

It will start to buffer up - the fights can be up to 20 mins long (including the entrances) so depending on your connection speed, you may need to be patient. It takes about 6 mins before the video will start to play (on a standard broadband connection).
The first time you download any particular fight, it will probably stop 3 or 4 times to buffer up. This is as it should be. When it happens DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING. If you do, it will have to start downloading from the beginning again.

Be patient!

Let it download fully.

Most fights take about 12 mins to completely download (on a standard broadband connection). Once you have let it fully download to your pc the first time, it will load up INSTANTLY whenever you go back.

Other considerations; are you using Internet Explorer (V6 or higher)? Other browsers (such as Firefox) do not cope well with the streaming media.

A little more about HJSplit

HJSplit is a popular set of freeware file-splitting programs created by Freebyte.com in collaboration with various programmers. HJSplit supports many platforms (Windows 3.x/95/98/ME/2000/NT/XP, DOS, Amiga, Java, etc.). All versions are compatible with each other and allow you to exchange files between these different platforms. E.g. a file split on the Amiga can be joined on Windows 2000 and vice versa.

Now what's the use of a program like HJSplit? Think of a file of 20 Mb, and try to send this to a friend. Using email this does not succeed, it is simply too large, and how to put it onto a floppy? HJSplit will enable you to split the large file into smaller chunks, which can be much more easily sent and stored.

What about a backup of very large Gigabyte sized files? HJSplit (Windows and Java version) also can handle these! E.g. HJSplit allows you to split a 10 Gb file into 640 Mb parts, which can then be stored onto CD-Rom's by your CD-writer software.

Of course HJSplit can join these split parts back together again, so that the original file is restored. Alternatively, you can use HJJoin for this, which is a tiny and specialized program for joining files.

HJSplit is very reliable, simple, small and easy to use. It does not need any installation or complicated DLLs, it just consists of one '.exe' file. This means that you can also run it directly from a floppy or CD-Rom.
